01

Who we are.

This privacy policy applies to Taxbordr, the trading name of Taxbordr - International Tax Advisors, Lda, registered in Portugal under VAT number PT518306255, with registered office at Av. Eng. Arantes e Oliveira 3 R/C, 1900-221 Lisboa, Portugal. The data controller is Telmo Ramos, founder, contactable at info@taxbordr.com. We act as a data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and Portuguese Lei n.º 58/2019 (which implements GDPR locally).

02

What we collect, and why.

We collect: identification data (name, email, phone) when you contact us or book a consultation; tax-position data (NIF, residency facts, income types, document copies) when you engage us professionally; website usage data (cookies, pages visited, source) for analytics; and CRM data (engagement notes, communication history) for client service. The legal basis is contract performance (GDPR Art 6(1)(b)) for client matters, legitimate interest (Art 6(1)(f)) for marketing communications you opt into, and consent (Art 6(1)(a)) for non-essential cookies.

03

How long we keep it.

Client engagement data is retained for 10 years under Portuguese tax-record-keeping rules (LGT art 45 and CIRS / CIRC document-retention duties). Marketing-list data is retained until you unsubscribe or for 24 months of inactivity, whichever is shorter. Anonymous analytics data is retained per platform default settings (currently 14 months on Google Analytics 4).

04

Who we share it with.

Sub-processors with access to client data are limited to: Google Workspace (email and document storage), HubSpot (CRM, EU data residency), Stripe (payments), Calendly / Cal.com (scheduling), and our chartered accountant network when filing requires it. All sub-processors are bound by GDPR-compliant data processing agreements. We do not sell personal data. We do not transfer personal data outside the EEA without an adequate-safeguard mechanism (Standard Contractual Clauses).

05

Your rights.

Under GDPR, you may request access (Art 15), rectification (Art 16), erasure (Art 17), restriction (Art 18), portability (Art 20), and objection (Art 21). Email info@taxbordr.com with the request. We respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied, you may complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, CNPD, www.cnpd.pt).

06

Cookies and analytics.

See the Cookie Policy for details. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP-anonymisation, HubSpot tracking for CRM continuity, and functional cookies for session and preferences. Non-essential cookies require consent.
